COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action for another mid-week game on Tuesday, March 31st as they hosted the Barons of Brewton-Parker Christian University. The Knights lost to the Barons earlier in the season and were looking to pick up some momentum heading into the weekend.

Game Recap

The game started quick as the first two innings were scoreless. The Barons put up a run in the third inning but the Knights answered back in the bottom half of the inning with two runs on a sacrifice fly from Teonis Pimentel and an RBI single from Justin Aponte. The Knights scored another run in the fourth inning on an RBI single from Pimentel as they held a 3-1 lead. The game kept moving quickly as the fifth and sixth innings were scoreless until the Barons came up in the seventh inning and put up three runs to take the lead and put up another run in the eighth inning. The Knights offense was unable to pick up the necessary runs as they lost the game 5-3.

Justin Aponte went 4-for-5 at the plate.

The Knights head out on the road for the PBC weekend series as they travel to Orangeburg, South Carolina to take on the Panthers of Claflin University starting on Friday, April 10th. First pitch is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
