COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action at home on Saturday, September 12th as they hosted the Bulldogs of Wingate University. The Knights were looking to erase the loss against Clayton State on Wednesday while the Bulldogs looked to end a two-match losing streak.
The Knights caught an unlucky break with a red card 19 seconds into the match. The Bulldogs started to apply the pressure with the advantage and scored in the 11th minute. The Knights defense played well down a man as they kept the Bulldogs within one goal heading into halftime. The disadvantage showed in the second half as the Bulldogs scored seven goals on the Knights. The Knights did not give up as they scored in the 79th minute with a goal from
Sean McCrudden to get on the scoreboard but the Knights lost the match 8-1.
The loss puts the Knights at 2-4 on the season as they hit the road on Wednesday, September 16th for their next match against the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. Kick off is scheduled for 7 PM EST.
