AMERICUS, Ga. - The Knights hit the road on Wednesday, September 16th as they headed to Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The Knights looked to end a two-match losing streak while the Hurricanes were also looking to end a losing streak.
The Knights controlled the match from the opening kick as they fired off multiple shots before the Hurricanes fired off their first. The Knights kept attacking and broke through in the 41st minute with a goal from
Roland Scott that was assisted by
Sean McCrudden to give the Knights the 1-0 lead before heading into halftime. The Knights continued to control the match in the second half as they held possession for much of the half. A penalty kick in the 87th minute gave the Hurricanes an opportunity to draw even and they got on the board as the Knights played out the match to a 1-1 draw.
The draw gives the Knights a 2-4-1 (0-1-1 PBC) record as they return home for their match on Saturday, September 19th when they host the Pacers of USC-Aiken.. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30 PM EST.
