COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action on Saturday, September 19th as they hosted the Pacers of USC-Aiken for another Peach Belt Conference game. The Knights were coming off of a draw in their last match while the Pacers were looking for their first conference win.
The match was physical from the start with a number of fouls being committed. The Knights got on the board first in the 10th minute as
Zachary Whipple put in a shot after the Pacers goalkeeper was unable to secure a previous shot. The scored remained 1-0 until the Pacers scored in the 55th minute to tie the match at 1-1. The Knights drew a penalty in the 67th minute and
Aiden Giacomelli converted to put the Knights up 2-1 and
Javier Gongora Andres sealed the win in the 73rd minute to give the Knights a 3-1 win.
The win moves the Knights to 3-4-1, 1-1-1 PBC on the season as they return to the field on Wednesday, September 23rd against the Bearcats of Lander University. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
