MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Knights got back out on the court on Saturday, September 12th as they wrapped up their time at the Warhawk Invitational. The Knights were set to take on the Golden Rams of Albany State University as they looked to pick up another win.
The Knights jumped out to an early 10-1 lead in the first set but the Golden Rams stormed back to tie the set at 17-17. The Knights picked themselves up to take back the lead and win the set 25-23. An early deficit for the Knights in the second set saw them use a five-point run to grab the lead. The set was close throughout and went into extra points as the Knights won 27-25. A close start to the third set saw a 10-10 tie until the Knights won seven of the next nine points to pull away and win the set 25-19
McCall Wolf was dominant in the match with 26 kills and three service aces as she set new single match records for kills and points and led the team with 12 digs.
The Knights record moves to 2-9 as they head back home to play their first home match of the season on Tuesday, September 15th against the Blazers of Valdosta State University. Tip off is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
