COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights returned home on Wednesday, September 16th as they were set to face the Cougars of Columbus State University. The Knights were looking to rebound after losing their Peach Belt Conference opener to Flagler College while the Cougars to secure their first conference win as well.
The match was controlled from the start by the Cougars as they started taking shots. The Knights finally caught a break in the 15th minute as they were able to break away and
Ayah Abdul-Malik put the Knights on the board. The Cougars went on a run as they scored four goals in the remainder of the first half and scored another goal in the second half to hand the Knights a 5-1 defeat.
Hollie Keefe made 15 saves in the match.
The loss puts the Knights record at 2-6, 0-2 PBC as they head back out on the road for their next match on Saturday, September 19th as they take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST.
