AMERICUS, Ga. - The Knights got back on the road on Saturday, September 19th as they headed to Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The Knights were looking to end a two-match losing streak while the Hurricanes lost their last match.
The match was fairly even throughout the first half as the Hurricanes fired off four shots while the Knights got off three. Neither team scored as the score remained 0-0 at halftime. The Hurricanes dominated possession in the second half as the Knights were only able to muster two shots in the half but the defense stepped up as the Hurricanes had 14 shots in the half but were unable to score as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Hollie Keefe had five saves in the shutout.
The Knights move to 2-5-1, 0-1-1 PBC as they return to action on Wednesday, September 23rd against the Sand Sharks of USC-Beaufort. Kick off is scheduled for 4:00 PM EST.
