MACON, GA - The women's tennis team lost to #18 Cumberland University on Tuesday, March 5 by a score of 5-3. The Phoenix took #1 and #3 doubles for a 2-1 lead headed to the singles matches. Lara Persiani and Luciana Pereyra won the #2 doubles 8-1 for the Knights.
Maike Nagele won #1 sinlges 6-2, 6-2 over Ganijo and Franziska Nobis took #3 sinlges 6-0, 6-1 but the Phoenix wan #2, #4, and #5 singles to claim the win 5-3.
The team's next scheduled match is March 17 at #5 Brenau University.
