Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Saturday, September 4th as the Knights were locked in a battle with another team of Knights, this one from Laurinburg, North Carolina in St. Andrews University. The Knights were coming off a disappointing loss to Georgia Southwestern on Thursday.
First Half
The Knights would start off the match with the ball in the offensive half as they get off a couple of shots before St. Andrews would have an opportunity on offense that they would put in the back of the net in the 10th minute. The Knights would continue to have chances on the offensive side of the ball but could not convert any of their chances as St. Andrews would take to 1-0 lead into halftime. Both teams had four shots in the half as St. Andrews would pick up two yellow cards, including one on the head coach, and the Knights were given one yellow card, given to
Marcos Garcia.
Second Half
The second half of the match was played primarily at the midfield level as both teams would periodically have a chance at goal as each team attempted three shots in the second half. Neither team would put a ball in the back of the net as the Knights would 1-0, their fourth consecutive loss this year.
Thiago Kittelmann would pick up his second yellow card of the season in the 80th minute.
Both teams attempted seven shots in the match, each with three shots on goal. The Knights will look to correctsome mistakes before their next match on Wednesday, September 8th as they travel to Thomasville, Georgia to take on the Nighthawks of Thomas University.
