Paul Knight has announced the Knights schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. The Knights will look to make a return trip to the postseason in 2025 after coming within one game of reaching the SSAC Tournament Championship game a season ago.
"We're looking forward to a very challenging 2025 schedule in the SSAC and all of our out of conference games as well. I believe the quality and depth of this team will gives us an excellent opportunity to have a great season. Our players have been preparing all fall and are excited to get started again in January" said Knight.
The Knights will start the season off at home on by hosting NAIA newcomer Spartanburg Methodist and Brewton-Parker on January 31
st and again on February 1
st at Stuckey Field. Up next the Knights will head to LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia on February 4
th to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College in a neutral site game before returning home to begin a nine-game homestand.
The home stretch kicks off with Marian University of Indianapolis, Indiana coming to town on February 7
-8 for a three-game slate. On February 11
th they welcome in Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) for a non-conference double-header followed by their SSAC opening series versus Blue Mountain Christian on February 14-15. MGA concludes the home stand with future Peach Belt Conference foe, USC-Beaufort on February 18
th.
The Knights will hit the road for their first true road games with a series against William Carey on February 21-22 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Crusaders were selected No. 1 in the SSAC preseason coaches poll. A midweek showdown with Columbus State will take place on February 25
th before the team returns home for a conference series against Point University on February 28-March 1. The team will hit the road for a conference series against UT-Southern on March 7-8.
The Knights will go to battle against the Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett in a home-and home series on March 14
th at GGC and March 15
th in Cochran before traveling to Truett-McConnell for a non-conference game on March 18
th. MGA will return home for a conference series against Thomas University on March 21-22.
The Knights will be back on the diamond for the next few weeks with series at ABAC on March 28-29, Brewton-Parker on April 1, Faulkner University on April 4-5, and will wrap up the road trip on April 8
th at USC-Beaufort.
Middle Georgia will return home on April 11-12 with an important late season series against Loyola University including Senior Day planned for Saturday, April 12
th. The team will host Columbus State at Stuckey Field on April 15
th for its final midweek matchup. The Purple and Black will make their final conference road trip to the University of Mobile on April 18-19 before returning home to wrap up the regular season against rival Brewton-Parker on April 24-25.
The Knights are slated to travel to Jackson, Tennessee for the SSAC Conference Tournament, held from April 30-May 3, with the hopes of being in position for a selection into the NAIA Tournament, starting on May 12
th.
