MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Jacob Pierce of Middle Georgia State was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
The award was based on performance for the week of Feb. 19-25.
 
Jacob Pierce (Middle Georgia – JR – OF – Warner Robins, Ga.)

• This is his third-career weekly honor
• Pierce set a new SSAC single-game record with 10 RBIs and tied the record with three home runs in a 25-13 win over No. 4 William Carey, going 4-for-5 at the plate
• He hit .429, posted a .619 OBP and slugged 1.357 on the week, totaling four homers, 12 RBIs and nine runs as the Knights took 2-of-3 from the fourth-ranked Crusaders
